Survive the Night

You and your friends play as a group of friends/acquaintances/coworkers that have--through some means or another--become stranded in the woods just as sun is about to set. You have no reception and no maps, and none of you is intimately familiar with the local area. But despite this, you all remember seeing signs pointing to a safe place that you know will be open all night (a motel, diner, gas station, etc.). And as best you can tell, the fastest way of getting to safety is by cutting through just a little corner of the woods so you can hike to the nearest main road while getting the most use out of what little daylight remains.

It’s not a bad plan...

Or...it wouldn’t be a bad plan if your group wasn’t also being hunted by a ruthless Killer. Unbeknownst to you or any of your friends, something has been following you...something that caused you to get lost in the first place...something that wants you dead. And once the first body drops, your hike through the woods transforms into a race against time: a quest to reach safety before the Killer gets to all of you.

In order to get to safety, you and your friends must pass a series of challenges. Some of these challenges may come naturally to your characters, while others might expose them to an attack by the hidden Killer. If you or any of your friends can pass through ten challenges while getting attacked less than three times, you reach the safe haven that you’d been running toward, and you successfully escape the Killer.

If not...then you fail to survive the night.
